Over the years props have been given to many artists for their contribution to history and to the evolution in their genres; for some, the creation of new genres can be attributed to their music. However, the props for the instruments they used are few and far between.
But on Band Master the instrument is everything. Here is a rundown of the reasons and rhyme of artists through time when it comes to the mediums they have chosen to use to bring their art unto the world.
Famous Trumpet
Louis Armstrong known as Satchmo was one of the greatest influences on jazz. His contributions to music gave the world the foundation of pop in the 60’s. Louis Armstrong was born into a poor family in New Orleans, LA. In fact his very first trumpet was given to him by a junk shop owner that he worked for as a child.
In the early days of his career he spent most of his time performing on a riverboat. The boat transported goods and people up and down the river, but with Satchmo on board it was able to transport music too.
Currently, Louis Armstrong’s trumpet is part of the White House Millennium Council project and its National Archives time capsule. This metal cabinet rendered to look like a three-dimensional, waving American flag, was sealed and stored at the end of 2000. Louis’ trumpet in the time capsule along with other historically significant American artifacts will not be opened until 2100.
